People said that there are two ways to enjoy underwater magnificence. We can enjoy the underwater magnificence from the elevation and directly be on the water.  Definitely, underwater magnificence can refresh our mind and dismiss a black outlook because there are many amazing creature lives inside it. However, there is one perfect way to enjoy underwater magnificence, it is called free diving.
Freediving is a different term from scuba diving which needs complex respiratory equipment. Meanwhile in free diving, freediver just need to hold their breath. The term free diving derived from Greece word “apnea” which means breath. Literally, the word “apnea” did not have a relationship with any water activities, however in recent terminology the word “apnea” is used to refer freediving or freedive. The point is we dive freely without rely on any respiratory equipment. It just about human enjoying nature with theirs own body.

Many said that freediving is extreme sport because it is risky activity.  Nevertheless, Mahesa, the founder of Bandung Freediving rejected it. He said that freedive or freediving is an activity that worth to try and if we follow the rules and join the coaching session everything will stay on the track.

In learning freediving all we need are courage and aim. Also, there is no age limitation in learning freediving. There are some basic steps needed, start with warming up to make sure that our body is not strained, the next is relaxation, it is needed to make the freediver feels comfortable so our brain will work harder to burn the O2 becomes CO2 and then our body will respond by take a deep breath. Make sure that we are comfortable, so we can restrain the O2 to make we dive longer.
Then, freediver has to do the static; it is when the freediver hold the breath in the surface quietly. It has purpose to train our endurance to hold our breath inside the water. Next is “duck dive” we have to dive from the surface into the deep water as deep as we can. Then, equalize it is how we adapt the air pressure inside the water with pinch our nose and drain the air through ear. It is important part to do to avoid we broke our ear drum. Last, is dynamic, it is a movement in the deep water. The freediver have to hold the breath and beat the feet.

For you who want to try this hobby you don’t need to worry about the budget because this is a quite economical hobby. For the beginner, we have to prepare Rp 500.000 or  (+/-) $ 38 include a snorkel mask and fin or frog shoes. Please note that we have to be companions by experts to minimalized accident. STORY FROM YOGYAKARTA - Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta

CULTURE DISTINCTION, ANOTHER STORY FROM YOGYAKARTA

SOURCE : FARMASI

Come back home, Yogyakarta!

Yogyakarta is an old story. The existence as special region is typical terms from Indonesia to Yogyakarta. Yogyakarta is an attractive city. Start from the culture, its’ nature, and now Yogyakarta is well-known as metropolitan city with many unique tourism destination.

Yogyakarta is about history and java traditions. History is never-ending story to talk about. Yogyakarta palace isn’t just a visual object it is more than a building. Go explore it and you’ll find something new, like you’ll find colors in black and white.

An Old Face in Brand-New City

The hilarious Yogyakarta palace hid a never-ended story. About its location which is in line with Merapi mountain in north and Samudra Indonesia in south. Many arguments comes out about Yogyakarta palace, both logic and mystique. Logically, it was about the contour of the ground and etc. However, there was a beliefe that the three spiritual powers are linked each other.
The well-known Yogyakarta palace neighbourhood isn’t about who lived there or it become the central administration of the city, there is a story beyond it where culture is maintained to be cultural heritage to attract local and domestic tourists. It is not only an old object but also tembang jawa, wayang kulit, and etc.

The story of Yogyakarta palace began in 1755, when the first palace was built under the reign of Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat palace era. Yogyakarta palace is a result of giyanti pact, where Mataram palace that located in Kartasura divided into two parts, Yogyakarta and Surakarta or Solo.

Although, the palace building still charismatic but the fact that everything is changed cannot be denied. Now, Yogyakarta palace becomes the icon of the city that attract tourists.
Yogyakarta, now, becomes a heterogenic city. There are acculturation between native culture and modern culture.  It cannot be denied that modernization and globalization makes Yogyakarta evolve to modern city. It can be seen from the landscape of Yogyakarta such as malioboro, tugu yogyakarta, and soon already filled with modernization. Eventhought, there are modernization here and there, Yogyakarta palace still hold the old tradition. Capitalism isn’t a big deal for the palace. Economic value that become the benchmark of humans’ life can be defeated by noble value and tradition.

However, “Abdi Dalem” not only works there, they have a job out of the palace. So, become “Abdi Dalem” is about faith to serve the palace and the king.

There are thousands of them, with different types of duty in scheduled time. Most of them are old. However, this is the unique story about “Abdi Dalem” they will serves the palace and the king until dead or they cannot stand anymore. The reason is simple, that they want a peaceful and full of blessed life, it is about a feeling.
