Lets talk about "Archipelago".. Kemala Beach, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan
The beauty of Borneo
Feels the wind gently touch my
face as I set my foot trying to explore this one of white sand beaches which is
located on the central city of Balikpapan, the beach seems like it shows off
its beauty. After grappling with tons of work things for a week, it’s time to
take a revenge by visiting the beach which is also known as Polda beach.

Heaven in the city. The beach completes the hustle bustle of the city. It
is decorated with rows of tables and chairs as a spot for the visitors enjoying
their lunch, or just sitting and enjoying the blue water of the sea along with
the breeze.

Forget to bring your lunch? Don’t
worry, there are plenty of food stalls around Kemala beach, they have variety
of foods and also common foods of Balikpapan city.
Come with your partner? Absolutely right. Since
the sunset view is very hypnotizing. When it’s getting dark, the light from a
dozen of candles will light up all the stalls around the beach. Romantic, huh? Indeed. :D

Lodging
I strongly suggest the out-of-town visitors who think about spending some
time in this city some inns which are located around the Kemala beach. By
staying in some inns you’re not only saving time but also the energy to explore
the area around the beach. You can also find Banana boat and jet ski rentals
there.

Souvenirs and culinary
I suggest you to make a short stop in Ahmad Yani street. How come? Because
there you can find many merchants who will offer you local-content seafood.
Don’t worry about the price, it’s very affordable.
Kerupuk Kuku Macan and Amplang traditional snack made from fish, are one of must-try snacks there. There are also crab and Marlin fish abon processed meat, usually made of beef, chicken, or fish.
It’s always a matter of taste, but for this one... It’s a must try !

The important point is, we need to save our environment, keep it clean,
especially the tourist attractions. A maintained tourist destination is a
priceless heritage for the future generation, if it is damaged now, what do you
think will it be in the future? [fad]
