Do you have any plan to travel somewhere in Ramadhan?
Or just having a nap at home? Don't want to do anything? Come on.. There are many beneficial things to do that can refresh our minds, except sleeping at home while waiting for iftar. If you think that "if we're doing fasting it means that we can't go somewhere", that's non sense. You can ask your families to go out with you and spend the time for "Ngabuburit". It's traveling, yep.. When you want to go traveling in weekends, you don't need to go to tourism attractions that far from your place. There are many places that can be alternatives for you to have some refreshments or even to widen your knowledge. Therefore, I want to give you some great tips for killing time while doing fasting so that you can get some advantages from it.
- Visiting Historic Sites
Founding Father, Ir. Soekarno said that a
great nation is a nation that appreciate their patriots. That's the analogy of
historic sites. If you appreciate historic places, you can visit them. It shows
that you respect your nation's patriots.
By doing traveling in Ramadhan, you'll not just get some refreshments
but also widen your knowledge. Like what an English proverb said "kill two
birds with one stone", by visiting a place, we can get many benefits from
it. You can also give some information about noble values to your children that
can make you feel the atmosphere of ancient time.
- Arrange a schedule
Sometimes when we get too excited, we go to somewhere at dawn to kill time when doing fasting. We can't do that. We have to arrange a precise time to visit the places because if we didn't do that, we will get too tired, especially when we can't eat anything from sunrise until sunset.
You can come to the places at afternoon. Your skin will not get bad
effects from sun burn. Then, there won't any reason to break the fasting. I am
sure that your "Ngabuburit" event will be successful.
- Plan it, consider about it,
do it!!
I strongly advise you to make a plan before going to somewhere with your
friends or with your families. There won't be any reason to forget about
anything that can't be left behind because of the beauty of the sceneries, like
responsibility to do WORSHIP !!
You can also browse about other's experiences when they
travel to the places you want to visit, especially their experiences about the
transportation to get there.
- Eat sufficient food when
sahur so that you'll have enough energy
Don't forget to do that. Overeating when sahur is not good for your body. Choose foods that contains high fibers or insoluble fibers. Thus, the foods will need a longer time to be digested and it will save you more energy.
Drink more water because it gives you many benefits. It will help you
maintain the balance of your body fluids. It will also keep your body fresh.
Like coconut water, it's been proven that it can keep your body feel fresh.
- Healthy Body and Soul
"A healthy mind in a healthy body", no more tolerance, it is the most important thing. Don't force your body to do vacation if you don't feel fully healthy. If you do vacation when you're not feeling well, it will make your body feel even worse that you cannot really enjoy your vacation.
